Emberfall Oath

Emberfall Oath is a proper offline RPG that respects your time without dumbing anything down. You lead a small band of characters across a fractured kingdom, and the writing carries real weight — choices in dialogue shift how your companions treat you later on.

Combat is turn-based on a grid. Positioning matters, elemental weaknesses matter, and the difficulty ramps at a fair curve. I never felt forced to grind, which is rare for the genre. The skill trees give each character a clear identity, so building your party is half the fun.

It runs entirely offline, saves reliably, and the chapter structure makes it easy to dip in for twenty minutes or lose an hour. The only downside is a slightly text-heavy opening, but push past it and the payoff is worth it.
