Puzzle games that fit in a coffee break
Not every puzzle game needs to swallow an hour. Sometimes you want three minutes of clean thinking between tasks, and a good offline puzzler delivers exactly that.
Stack Shift is my current pick. It loads instantly, teaches its one rule in seconds, and then keeps surprising you as the board fills up. The daily challenge is the perfect single-serving fix.
The trick with these games is finding ones without interruptions. No ads mid-solve, no connection check, no forced updates before you can play. That's harder to find than it should be.
If you want something moodier, Lantern Hollow scratches a slower itch — more exploration than logic, but the same no-pressure feel. Both live on my phone precisely because they never demand a signal.
